Wounds of the heart...

This is Arimaiyr, an elf/demon half breed from 's story. The elf woman he is holding is his wife, who was brutally tortured by demons.

When Arimaiyr tried to rescue his wife and family from their clutches, he was captured as well. And then, as the demons clawed his flesh (that is where the wound on his face is from), he was forced to watch as his wife was raped and then killed along with his children.

After this terrible event, Arimaiyr was forever scarred, both physically and mentally. As wounds of the heart never fully heal, nor do wounds inclicted by demons.

I'm not really sure what I was planning to do with his wife's skirt...it isn't exactly right.
Right now it looks like it was torn apart when she was raped...so...I guess that's my excuse.

And Arimaiyr looks sorta crazed right now...which is how he gets whenever he fights demons...but most of the time he's all emo and everything.

I think it turned out pretty good for a classroom doodle.
